Action + Reactions

Did you know that OKPhotos.com films your wedding ceremony with multiple broadcast-quality/high-definition video cameras, usually four? And even five with our largest package? And then intercuts them into a single video with multiple camera angles (one at a time) just like a Hollywood movie? With that many cameras, one or two can be directed permanently at the parents and/or other loved ones, and the guests, to catch any positive reactions during the ceremony.

Most professional wedding videographers use only two cameras, and both are directed at the "action" in case one fails or gets blocked momentarily. Though many of them will pan to the parents once or twice for a few seconds during the ceremony, but you never know when somebody is going to react, so chance is small that they will catch the good stuff.

Editing long continuous video footage from more than two video cameras is tough in terms of the technical challenge of matching up the colors and exposure levels, be it outdoor in daylight or indoor with artificial lights. And extra tough in churches with mixed incandescant and fluorescent lights, or incandescent lights with lots daylight coming thru the skylight windows. Which is why most wedding videographers don't use more than two cameras at a time.

OKPhotos.com on the other hand has been shooting and editing 3-to-5-camera ceremonies for 3-plus years, and we enjoy it, it is our "thing". We try to record everything, as much as possible, to make a real "interactive" (action + reaction) wedding movie, so you and your loved ones can enjoy them for years and decades to come. :-)

And for those who are getting married in church with very strict rules about wedding videographers (like BANNING them during the ceremony), six or more cameras can be prepositioned at different places in the church, so that no videographer has to be in there during the ceremony, while still shooting a pretty good ceremony video!

And yes, we do cover the reception as well, with either one or two video cameras/cameramen, depending on the package. :-)
